LeaderGen launches bi-monthly Chevening think-tank
01/07/2011

LeaderGen will be launching a bi-monthly Chevening think-tank forum for Chevenings from all sectors.  These interactive symposiums foster collective cooperation to increase business on a “problem-solution” basis.

The interactive nature of the symposium provides participating Chevening and non-Chevening organisations the unique opportunity to distinguish where the “solution” offering of one participant be matched with the “problem” details of another.

Kenya is home to approximately 270 Chevening Scholars with the majority occupying senior leadership positions in government, the private sector, parastatals and civil society. The combined influence and connections of this powerhouse of leaders, means they possess the potential to be key drivers of economic and social transformation across Kenya.

Effective stakeholder engagement is an important discipline that is used to win support for new projects, products and initiatives too informal. Proactive involvement of stakeholders in the decision-making process is vital to encouraging and ensuring strong support for the achievement of any organisation’s objectives; whether they are commercial or social. This being the case, access to a network of senior figures, key decision-makers and influencers offers a powerful tool to shape and hone an organisation’s implementation strategy.  The Chevening Network offers just this opportunity.

The first symposium will be taking place in September. More details will be published on the LeaderGen website and in our next newsletter.
