Leaderene Programme

ADVANCING WOMEN TO THE TOP

Leaderene is a specially designed leadership capacity building programme to retain and advance high potential women into senior management or board level positions within the corporate and public sector.

Leaderene is based on best practice research into strategies that work for advancing women into senior positions.

Leaderene’s learning through doing approach, including a 6 month secondment at board or senior management level, will equip participants with the critical leadership competencies, hands on experience and confidence to function effectively at the highest level of decision-making.

The combination of 21st Century leadership training, 1-2-1 coaching, work experience at senior board or cabinet level, peer-to-peer learning, and mentoring will leverage the skills, talents and intellect of women to contribute to organisational growth and success.

WHO FOR?

High potential women within the public & corporate sector who have been assessed and identified as having the ability to make it to the very top.

The programme is designed to have an impact at the level of the individual, the managerial level, and the organisational level.

The Leaderene programme will stimulate and challenge ambitious women to think about their contribution as a strategic leader, identify areas for improvement, and equip them with practical skills to drive transfomation.

It will empower them to develop a new perspective on their organisation to lead it to greater success.

PROGRAMME CONTENT

Leaderene will provide the following tailored support appropriate to individual and business circumstances, and consists of:

  • Local and global support networks for established senior female leaders in business, corporate or public sector organisations, who can often feel lonely and isolated working in male dominated industries. This powerhouse of Leaderene Ambassadors will be able to leverage their collective influence and reach to catalyse a shift in political and commercial mindsets towards serving people and the planet, as a prerequisite for profit generation. In addition, these powerful Leaderene Ambassadors will mentor aspiring  women and girls, providing an important helping hand for elevating women up the career ladder in business and politics.
  • Bespoke leadership capacity building training for emerging women leaders to grow a talent pool of highly accomplished individuals who can fill senior board level positions globally. This will help governments, private and public sector and NGOs to meet their goals for women’s participation at senior board level.
  • 1-2-1 leadership coaching and mentoring to provide a confidential, and safe environment for established and emerging women leaders to discuss challenges, sound out their ideas, and clarify their thinking.
  • Portfolio of learning interventions to help organisation’s transform their culture from macho, to a secure base culture where everyone performs well.
  • 6 month secondments at board or cabinet level for emerging women leaders, to demystify board level roles and build confidence. These women will be provided with a breadth of practical on-the-job experience operating at the highest levels of decision-making.
  • Personal branding, PR and provision of high visibility work assignments/and or clients to raise the profile of the women leaders locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Peer-To-Peer learning and support through the provision of retreats, regional Empowerment Circles, e-learning and online networking. This will provide women with an important opportunity to share ideas, and support each other within a dynamic, inspirational and motivational community to enable them to realize their highest potential.
  • Business opportunities sourcing for women owned companies to facilitate their development into sustainable medium and large enterprises. This is vital for increasing their economic power and influence.
  • Access to informal networks to promote visibility and contacts with influential persons in local, regional, national government, corporate and NGOs.

This portfolio of targetted personal and organisational development interventions is designed to create the optimum environment where women can make valuable contributions as a strategic leader, to improve organisational performance.

It will empower both women, and their male colleagues to develop a new perspective on feminine leadership qualities, talents, and strengths which are now vital for C21st century .  And inspire the next generation of girls to aim high!

Learning Styles

The programme will place a great emphasis on practical and experiential learning based on the real challenges of the leader for improving individual effectiveness.

Participants will be encouraged to keep personal learning logs to record their learning and personal objectives, and chart their progress in meeting objectives. The learning methodology will also include:
